The public consultation period runs from Thursday 7 July to 2022 to 9am Friday 5 August 2022
In early 2021 the City of Port Lincoln developed and adopted the CBD Access and Car Parking Action Plan. An identified action from this plan was the need to review and implement locally required adjustments to on-street parking time limits.
In line with the review of parking time limits, Council has consulted with local business and property owners, analysed previous complaints from vehicle owners regarding CBD parking as well as analysing past expiations issued for overstaying time limits. From this process a number of changes to parking time limits have been recommended to enhance the CBD car parking experience.
Feedback was invited on the following proposed changes to parking time limits within the Port Lincoln CBD from Thursday 7 July to Friday 5 August, 9am.
Jetty Carpark – reduce time limit from 4 hours to 2 hours.
Southern (shop) Side between Lewis Street and Adelaide Place – remove 0.5 hour parks at either end and change to 1 hour to make it consistent with other car parks in the area.
Western side between Tasman Terrace and Liverpool Street – change 4 hour parking to untimed.
Western Side - change from a mixture of 4 hour and 0.5 hour to 1 hour parking.
Eastern Side – change from 4 hours to 2 hours.
Eastern side between Liverpool Street and Napoleon Street – change 0.5 hour parking to 2 hour parking.
Both sides between Liverpool Street and Napoleon Street – Change from 0.5 hour to 2 hours.
