The public consultation period for the Draft Community Land Management Plans runs from Wednesday 16 September to 10am, Friday 23 October 2026.

The City of Port Lincoln is seeking community feedback on its draft Community Land Management Plans, which will guide the current and future management of parks, sporting grounds, community facilities, the foreshore and other shared public spaces.
The new framework introduces six community land categories, each with their own plan: Recreation and Sports Grounds, Parks, Gardens and Reserves, Community Assets and Buildings, Cemeteries, Foreshore, and Coastal Reserves and Boat Ramps. This new approach aims to accommodate the different uses and needs for these different spaces.
This approach aims to strengthen the management of our community land by recognising and responding to the different goals, uses and benefits of different types of land. These plans represent a significant modernisation of Council’s community land management approach, with the previous plans adopted over fifteen years ago.
Hard copies of the draft Community Land management Plans are available at the Council office in the Civic Centre and the Port Lincoln Library.
