The public consultation period runs from Thursday 22 August 2024 to Friday 27 September 2024
The City of Port Lincoln is proud to present two key draft strategies aimed at furthering Council's environmental sustainability objectives.
The Draft Strategies have been prepared following Council workshops held throughout 2023 and 2024, and outline Council's plan of action over the next 5-10 years based on the environmental goals adopted in the Strategic Directions Plan 2021-2030. The strategies were released together in recognition of the interrelated issues of environmental sustainability and waste and resource management, one of Council's largest services to the community.
The two strategies released for public consultation:
- Draft Environmental Sustainability Strategy 2025-2034
- Draft Waste & Resources Management Strategy 2025-2029
Copies of both strategies can be downloaded from the "Key Documents" section on the right hand side of this page.
A community workshop was held in the Nautilus Arts Centre on Monday 2 September at 12.30pm, and the community were encouraged to provide feedback via surveyor by written submission from Thursday 22 August to Friday 27 September 2024, 5pm.
Hard copies of the two surveys were made available at the Council Administration Office and Port Lincoln Library during the consultation period.
