The City of Port Lincoln has prepared a Draft Housing Strategy to respond to pressing housing availability and affordability concerns. The Strategy will help ensure that the city grows sustainably, thrives and is a great place to live, work and play.
Preparing the Strategy is an important part of fulfilling the council’s commitment to “Plan Growth” and delivering part of the City’s Economic Development Strategy.
As many in the community are aware, the City of Port Lincoln is a great place to live with many strengths, however, a lack of affordable and available housing is impacting the community and economic growth opportunities.
The Draft Housing Strategy was made available for public comment and the community were encouraged to have 'Your Say' on it's contents. The Draft Housing Strategy 2024-2029 is located under key documents on this page.
Hard copies of the Draft Housing Strategy 2024-2029 were made available at the Council Administration Office and Port Lincoln Library from Thursday 7 March 2024 to 9am on Tuesday 23 April 2024.
A final report is expected to be presented to Council in May 2024.
