Business Use of Road Permit - 80-81 Tasman Terrace

Project Overview

Pursuant to Section 222 of the Local Government Act 1999, and Council's Public Consultation & Community Engagement Policy 2.63.1, the City of Port Lincoln sought public comment on the proposal received to obtain a Business Use of Road Permit, to enable closure of one car park on Tasman Terrace, in order to construct an outdoor dining area adjacent to 80-81 Tasman Terrace, Port Lincoln. This proposal is not an expansion of the Del Giorno's Cafe Restaurant.

This proposal is associated with the development submission received for a change in use of the existing building at 80-81 Tasman Terrace to a shop (restaurant). The proposed dining area will be located in front of the business and will be of a similar nature to the alfresco area of Del Giorno's Cafe Restaurant which is next door.

This outdoor dining area has been designed to ensure minimal disruption to pedestrian access and traffic flow with the existing pedestrian crossing point to be retained and additional improvements to ensure safety and line of sight for pedestrians.

A plan of the proposal is available in the Key Documents section on the right, and was available to be viewed at the Council Office located in the Civic Centre.

Feedback was invited on the proposal from Thursday 24 November to 10am on Friday 15 November 2024.
